About the Campaign
Help students safely print stronger and more flexible projects with Kent Library’s 3D printer fume extractor system.
3D printing is one of the many services offered by the Kent Library Heather MacDonald Greene Multimedia Center. Students often use the printer for class projects, product design testing, and model making, but they’re currently limited in the things they can print because they’re limited by the types of filaments they can use.
When some filaments are heated to high temperatures, they release chemicals that could be harmful for students and employees working in the HMGMC. The purchase of a fume extractor system would allow students to safely use more flexible and stronger filaments.
