About the Campaign
Help the Office of International Education and Services purchase interior design elements to complete the new International Village.
Southeast’s International Village opened in 2019 and features spaces specifically designed to accommodate international students and host international-related programming. It has a dedicated video conferencing room for students to call loved ones at home; a 15- seat computer lab for trainings and presentations on topics like taxes, visa renewal, and more; a multipurpose room for international athletics, musical, and cultural presentations and movies; an upscale residential kitchen for preparing and sharing favorite meals a student can’t find in Missouri; and small classrooms for students in the Intensive English Program (IEP).
While the space is designed to be a “home away from home” for international students, it’s missing a large part of what makes a space feel like home — decorations. Most of the rooms are currently devoid of any art or decorations. Funds raised will help with the purchase and installation of internationally themed items such as wall hangings, flags for the multipurpose room, and graphics for the exterior of the building.
